Arizona Mountain Biking Photo Shoot

Recently, Travis Neely Photography returned from a week long shooting trip to Arizona. This was one part vacation, one part photo expedition. Arizona has been on our list for quite some time and did not disappoint. We put 1000 miles on the rental car while out there exploring the state. Arizona has a ridiculously diverse landscape… ranging from brown scrub desert peppered with small shrubbery, to high elevation Ponderosa alpine forests, to odd mystical looking forests with trees I can’t even fully describe. One of our goals was to shoot a collection of background plates to be used for composite. Below is the first finished piece from the Arizona collection along with the component images that went together in the creation of this photograph. All imagery was created with the Mamiya Leaf Credo 80 megapixel digital medium format system, Phase One lenses, Einstein lighting system, Chimera softboxes, and Macbook Pro Retina. Images created on location around the state of Arizona and within my studio on green screen.
